Hi, I’m lilly, I found my forever home through nj boxer rescue last december and now I even have a new pick up truck, thanx nj boxer rescue.
We celebrated Mickey's 3rd birthday today, as well as his 6 months as a member of our family! He is happy, healthy and given lots of hugs and attention. In return, he gives us wiggles of loyalty, affection and forever friendship! THANK YOU to all the great people at NJBR for all their help and expertise! We couldn't be happier having Mickey join our family!
The Cuttic Family

Happy Ending x 2! Bailey, formerly Alindra, joined our family in October 2009. We wanted to share our love with another dog and brought Murphy home in December of 2010. They are both doing great! We can't imagine life without either one of them! They get along great and both love to go camping! Just open a car door and they jump in wanting to take a spin! Thank you NJ Boxer Rescue for all that went in to making these two ours!

The Hartigan Family

We were looking for a companion for our female boxer, Greta. My husband and I have always had boxers in our lives. Greta is our third boxer together. We wanted a male boxer with a black mask. We saw pics of Ali on Petfinder and went to meet with him 5 weeks ago. Stacey - the NJ Boxer Rescue Volunteer we met with is such a super person! We also met with Jeff & Denise who came to our home for our home visit - they too are just wonderful people. We wound up taking Ali home with us that night. He is a sweet boy and he and Greta are getting along great! We could not have asked for a better dog than Ali. His personality and temperament is just perfect for our family. We are so glad we could provide a loving home for such a wonderful dog!

We were in search of a boxer after we had lost ours to cancer at only 6 years old. It was so devastating and such an incredibly sad time our boxer was a part of our family and went everywhere we went. we came across nj boxer rescues website and saw scoobie and immediately fell in love with him. everyone in the rescue was amazing and you could tell genuinely wanted to find the boxers amazing forever homes. we went to see scoobie at his foster parents home and the second we saw him come outside that was it we were in love! he came over and gave me and my fiance kisses and was so happy. we connected with him immediately and knew he was the dog for us! he has been the most amazing dog and we could not ask for a more perfect new family member i cannot express to you in words what he means to us and how much happiness he has brought us. he loves playing with his doggy brother argus and also loves cuddling and just being close to us. he is more than perfect and more than we could have ever imagined or asked for we are so thankful to have him forever to love and care for. thank you so much! Sincerely, Jillian Bottita and Bryan Clark

I have to admit that Mac(formerly Tonka) and Onyx are probably the two most spoiled dogs in NJ. They have taken over our house. Mac and Onyx love to visit my parents house and run out by the pool (sadly neither of them have the affinity for swimming). Onyx spends her days following Mac around like a shadow, and literally copying everything he does. I am so lucky to have my little trouble makers in my life. Thank you so much for bringing Mac into our Lives!

On April 4, 2011 our beloved boxer Maxine died suddenly and unexpectedly. Max was eleven and we knew that unfortunately boxers are not blessed with very long lives like some other breeds. We tried to prepare by registering with New Jersey Boxer Rescue some months before Max's passing in hopes of rescuing a young boxer who we knew would be a great addition to our family for Max's sake and our own. Unfortunately Max died before another dog came into our life. However two weeks after her passing a phone call came from New Jersey Boxer Rescue that an eight month old puppy would soon be available, were we interested? Well, the rest is history. Sophie, our adorable rescue came into our lives on April 22, 2011. Sophie is a lively, spirited dog with tons of energy and a playful disposition. She is quite cuddly and showers us with love and affection. While Sophie cannot replace Max, she has helped ease the pain and given us the joy of loving another dog! Thank you NJBR

New Owners Karen and Joe

Hey, look at us! We are Hank and Chloe (formerly Gretchen), the luckiest dogs that ever lived. We both found new humans that love us and play with us all the time. And we also found each other. We wrestle and chew on each other while our humans laugh at us for hours. And when play time is over we curl up on the couch and give our humans kisses non-stop. We're so happy with our new family that we even let them sleep in bed with us. And of course our human sister just loves us to pieces. This is truly our happy ending!
Thanks so much NJBR for bringing Tyson into our lives! (pictured on right) When we first decided to adopt another dog we new it would be a long process because we have young children and we needed to find the perfect match for our family. It took a few months but it was worth the wait! We couldn't have asked for a more gentle loving snuggly bear in the world!! Tyson adores his new brother and sisters, mommy and daddy too, and we adore him even more!! We are so happy Tyson is apart of our family and thank you Meg (Tyson's foster mom), for taking such good care of him while he waited for his forever home!!

We would like to thank all the volunteers at NJ Boxer Rescue for bringing Charlie into our lives! He is a GREAT dog. He loves to go on walks and we go at least 2-3 times a day. Charlie has a healthy appetite, but he works it off by running around in the backyard like a crazy man. He loves to snuggle on the couch where he gets lots of petting. He sleeps on the bed with us and we sleep more soundly because of Charlie. We tried barricading him in the kitchen but came home one day to find him on the family room couch looking at us through the window. Needless to say he has the run of the house ever since and has not touched a thing, we just LOVE our Charlie!!!

New Owners: The Sandberg Family

My husband and I adopted Peyton, a white boxer listed on your website. We had decided on a boxer but were waiting for the right personality to come along since our current dog, Bindi, is very passive and can be quite shy. One of your volunteers suggested we take a look at Peyton. Yes, she was only two years old, but her personality was thought to be right on the money with what our needs were. Also, she had pretty severe separation anxiety, but I have training experience and was happy to take on the challenge. So, Peyton came to live with us. By the grace of the amazing people who run this rescue, the foster parents, and volunteers we now have a complete family. Peyton and Bindi are best friends and do everything together. We couldn't imagine our lives without her and are excited for her to grow in our family. She is just the greatest dog! Thank you to everyone at the NJBR for this missing puzzle piece.
Well, this little girl finally got me to do it - I adopted one of my fosters! I have loved them all, but Jessie came to me so sick and in need of TLC - she just won me over with her never ending kisses and wiggle butt. After being saved by some good citizens who found her abandoned in their fields during the harsh winter months - the volunteers at NJBR nursed her back to health. She is now heartworm free, a healthy weight and loving her new life!!! Everyone who meets her falls in love with her personality and her big chocolate eyes - who could have abandoned this wonderful creature??? Thank you NJBR for putting your faith in to her, she will be loved and cherished for all her remaining years. Please continue all your hard work saving these wonderful animals - hopefully someday we won't need to.

We want to Thank everyone at the NJ Boxer Rescue for helping us find our Lola. She has been such a blessing to us, we adopted her one week before Christmas and she has enriched our lives tremendously. She is the best baby girl ever. We love her so much and enjoy her company. Our other dog Ziggy enjoys having a little Big sister around, he is a month older but so much smaller than her. They have adapted they playing with one another that neither one gets hurt. Lola spends lots of time playing fetch with everyone in the house. She is a big cuddler, she loves to be cuddled, she places her paws around our waist and lays her head in our lap for cuddles, and we can pet her for hours like this. We are so happy to have her in our lives and are so glad you allowed us to be her forever family.

New Owners: The Purkins Family

We would to thank all the volunteers at NJ Boxer Rescue for introducing us to Penny (formerly Penelope) We were looking for a female fawn either a puppy or up to two years of age. We weren't having much luck so I contacted one of the members asking what was available. She told me they had a 5 year old flashy fawn. I told her that I thought that was too old and wouldn't be a very active dog. She told me that I had forgotten how active the boxer are. I am so glad we listened to her. We were introduced to Penny the end of January 2011. She is a great dog. She is well behaved, friendly, responds to many commands, very active and great with our grandchildren . You might think she was a member of our family from the start. It has been a great experience as well as a rewarding feeling adopting a dog especially an older one from NJBR. We would like to thank all of the volunteers who we dealt with and highly recommend adopting a boxer from NJBR.

New Owners: Bob and Debbie Barnabei

We want to thank those at NJ Boxer Rescue and the foster family who took such great care of Leah for so long before she found her forever home – you are truly the best! . It was important for us to adopt a Boxer that was older to give comfort in her last years years. Leah who is 7 has Diabetes Insipidus but that didn't scare us – in fact you'd never know it. She has great energy –is so happy – and incredibly loving. She has a playful personality with a smile that seems fixed to her face. She is already learning new words and responds to them She's perfect and we couldn't be more thrilled.

New Owners: Diana & Jeff

We wanted to thank Boxer Rescue for allowing us to be a foster family. We loved the idea of helping a boxer in need and were not ready to expand our boxer family at that time, BUT who ever fosters a puppy and gives them up???? Pablo formerly known as Zeus came into our family and immediately became a family member and best friend to Lola, as you can see in the picture they are inseparable. Although he has limited sight he is a jokester and constantly makes us laugh with the tricks he and Lola play. We will continue to stay involved in helping out this wonderful organization and the great people that make life a more wonderful place for the boxer breed.

My family adpoted Sol (boxer on the right) a couple of years ago. Sol and his also adopted brother Mugsy act as if they are brothers by blood. They love each other so much and are always sleeping with each other. We bought one extra large dog bed for the both of them because they have to be right next each other when they're sleeping. Sol loves taking long walks and playing with his brother Mugsy and our family. Our family loves Sol so much, without him we wouldn't be complete. Sol had to get surgery on his leg, but other than that he has been in great shape and has been keeping up good health. Our boys are one of a kind and have the most playful, careful, and honorable personalities about them. Our days would not be the same if we didn't come home to the boys anxiously waiting for us at all times. Thank you so much NJBR!

Hi Guys, Noelle here , just checking in for the New Year! First I need to say Thank you to my foster Family for all the love they gave me. Then to the volunteers at NJ Boxer Rescue – you folks are the best. Well January came and I got to adopt my Forever Family! A Mom, Dad & 2 human brothers. Oh yeah and a five year old Boxer brother named Shamus! He's great!!!! I got to tell you this family's is nuts, I'm the fourth Boxer they have adopted and I am being smothered with love and kisses!

New Owners: The Wanser Family

We are so delighted with Suzy. You would think she has been part of our family since she was a puppy! She has fully adopted all of us. She is a WONDERFUL boxer: full of love, intelligence and energy. Suzy has also helped to heal our Billy's spirits. He was devastated with the loss of his life-long companion and he and Suzy have truly bonded. They often sleep together on one cushion and clearly enjoy each other's company. Suzy also respects the fact that Billy is a senior and sometimes needs to rest. She just lies next to him and usually is busy chewing on a toy while Billy takes a nap. They play well together and are solicitous of each other as well. We feel so fortunate to have this beautiful gentle little girl within our home. Enjoy! Thank you for all your goof work. Suzy is very happy in her Forever Home.

New Owners: Madeline and Peter Landau

We want to thank NJBR for introducing us to Junior. His favorite activities include wrestling, walks, and generally being as close to us as possible. Like everyone else, we can't imagine life without him. We have been stopped in the street numerous times by neighbors and passing cars telling Junior how handsome he is. We try our best to not let it get to his head. Thanks again to all involved with NJBR.

New Owners: The D'Arrigo Family

I adopted Rocky (brindle) from NJBR in May 2009, and it was such a wonderful experience that when I made the decision this past fall that Rocky needed a friend to play with, I had no doubt that I would go back to NJBR for my second dog. I adopted Boo Boo, now Henry, in November 2010, and my handsome boys are the two best friends that there has ever been. I was a little nervous at first about adopting a disabled puppy, but don't even notice anymore that Henry is deaf. He's picked up so quickly on the signs and how to behave from his big brother. In some ways, he's even easier to handle then a dog that can hear. The people at NJBR are so wonderful and I'm so grateful for all their help with helping me get these two amazing dogs!

New Owner: Sue

Hi, Moe here (aka Moses). I was adopted last March and was quite a handful for a while. My new Mom called NJBR for help a number of times for advice and they were very supportive. I wasn't bad, just had a lot of separation anxiety whenever they went to work. It took a while for me to adjust (big meaty bones and meds helped) but now I know they always come back. Daddy isn't working anymore, so I keep him company all day and take him for walks so he gets his exercise and take naps with him on the sofa. He is my best buddy and he would be lost without me; I know, Mommy told me. I don't know what I do that makes them laugh so much, but I guess it means I make them happy. And they make me happy too.

New Owners: Ken & Carol

When we applied to NJBR we specifically indicated on our application that we would like to adopt two boxers. Simultaneously two, 11 month old boxers were surrendered by their owner. The timing was perfect. We adopted Miles (brindle, formally Finch) and Otis (white, formally Beagle) a week before Christmas and they're the best gift ever! Since then, they have done some traveling to NY and PA (they go where ever we go), have played endlessly in the snow, destroyed several toys (boys will be boys), and unknowingly have brought so much joy to our lives. Thanks to everyone at NJBR for changing lives in a very special way.

New Owners: Brian & Jennifer

Hi there... It's me, Emma. I've been here over a year now and thought it's time to let you guys know how it's working out. Took a while but I've got these people trained just right! I've got my big fluffy bed pillow, my very own girl who rubs tummies really well, and I've even got this person who moved in... they call her a grandma. Grandma and I are home together all day long and neither one of us needs to be alone. We're great company even if sometimes she gets in trouble for sharing her food with me. It's my big dark eyes – Grandma just can't resist me! But seriously, thank you NJ Boxer Rescue for bring Emma into our family, she's fun, funny, frustrating and a joy to have in the house. Even the guinea pig has gotten used to her!

New Owners: The Bontempos

Thank you to all the volunteers at NJBR for bringing Bubba in to our lives! My husband and I adopted Bubba despite his medical condition and couldn't be happier we did. We don't know why anyone would want to get rid such a sweet boy, all it takes is two pills a day to keep Bubba healthy. He is so loveable and steals the hearts of everyone he meets! He loves going to the dog park, taking rides in the car, and snuggling! Bubba is a great addition to our family! He puts an little extra laugh in every day!

New Owners: Kyle & Jordan Zurheide

Dear Folks at Boxer Rescue: Just a quick hello at the holidays to let you know how I have settled into my new family and my forever home. When I first joined the family, I had two brothers who accepted me very quickly, and we soon made quite the team! Shamus (15 years young), Harley (eight years old like me) and I napped, walked, and snacked together, and kept things hopping in the house for Mom and Dad! But gentle old Shamus laid down for a nap with us on Monday and never got up again. We are all sad, and are establishing new routines now that we don't have Shamus as our leader. Mom and Harley seem to find extra comfort in my presence. I guess I arrived at the perfect time. Thanks again to MaryJean and Arlene and all the Boxer Rescue folks for all the care and planning that went into finding me my forever home.

New Owners: The Melnykevich Family

Buddy and Tucker have settled in great. It's hard to remember when they weren't part of the family.

Thanks to all at Boxer Rescue, especially Megan and Arlene!

New Owners: The Boccher Family

This sweet little girl is Jersey,(aka Jersey Girl, or Squishy). This pup had a rough start in life, but now knows what it's like to have a family. Doreen and I along with our daughter Jennifer adopted Jersey in November. She is learning a lot of new things like how to play with other dogs, and mostly how to cuddle on the couch and sleep with her new sisters Kodi and Chuska. (Our other two boxer girls.) Jersey is so lovable and steals everyone's heart when they meet her. We are so thrilled to have her. Many thanks to NJ Boxer Rescue for bringing her into our lives!

New Owners: Kathy, Doreen and Jennifer

We adopted Suzy - known as Susie when she was in foster care. 12.8.2009. We quickly fell in love. After having a boxer for 14 years we new that after he passed away it was time to love another. We wanted an older boxer so that her last hears would be filled with tons of love and attention and all the good she and all dogs deserve. Suzy stole our hearts. She's the sweetest girl, loves to give kisses and wants to always be close. She enjoys going to the country, laying in the sun, riding in the car and snuggling. Thanks NJ Boxer Rescue for all that you do! Sadly our little Suzy was put to rest resulting from severe cancer in the lungs which caused difficulty in breathing. Chemo couldn't save her. We will always think of Suzy and are grateful to NJ Boxer Rescue for having rescued her.

New Owners: Diana & Jeff

My boyfriend and I adopted Max from foster care in October 2010. He was an angel from the start. We have never had such a sweet loving dog. He is truly as his foster parents would call him a gentle giant. He loves to take long walks and tries to get his paws on any squirrel he can find. We take him to the park near our house and he just loves to run around in circles. Max has been waiting patiently to go to the dog park, but he has a few more days until his stitches are removed. He loves loves loves to snuggle and he tries to steal the whole couch. If you sit in his spot, he will try and wiggle his way in. Max doesn't like to be alone. He follows us all over the apartment! Thanks so much NJBR!! Max has been the best addition to our family. He puts a giggle in our day everyday!

New Owners: Kevin & Keri

As far as Louie goes. He is the most wonderful and loving dog. As my eight year old son Max says "he is 50% muscle and 50% love". All three of my kids play with Louie and give him plenty of attention. Louie never seems tired of their affection. My wife Louise and Louie have a special bond. She talks to him in a proper southern mans voice. Which he eats up. I play fetch with his favorite green ball almost everyday in the back yard. Thank you so much for Louie. We couldn't imagine our lives without him. We are so glad he has a forever home.

New Owners: The Cohen Family

It is just amazing how he is with people. No one believes he is a rescue dog. You did a remarkable job with him. I am telling you that every single person at the dog park commented on how he was the best behaved dog there. He is a true rags to riches story thanks to you and the NJBR. You should take great pleasure in everything you have done for him Arlene. We need a lot more people like you.

Timber joined our family (Violet, 9 – Taylor, 3) in September of 2010. He came to us after having a surgery and needed to stay as quiet as possible for his first 2 weeks with us. Once he was cleared by his vet he was so happy to start running and playing with his Boxer sister Taylor. I caught them sleeping together and I knew we were going to be just fine. Timber loves to play with his rope toys, cuddle (he likes to climb in our laps), give hugs and go on lots of walks. Our Shih Tzu Violet is still the boss and lets Timber know if she doesn't want to play. We are so thankful to have Tim in our lives. Thank you so much NJ Boxer Rescue for finding us our perfect match.

New Owners: The McDonnell Family

Dezel joined our family in October 2010, and has become such a wonderful. He has become best friends with our other boxer, Brownie (on the right), and our cat, Mack. He loves spending his day with Brownie and Mack, in the front window waiting for the kids to get home from school, then running around in the yard stealing soccer balls from the kids. At night, he becomes quite the snuggler,, and cuddles up with in bed, stealing most of the room, and blankets. Dezel is a perfect fit for our family, and we could not be happier that NJBR helped bring us together.

New Owners: The Krause Family

Thank you, NJ Boxer Rescue!!! Yogi is a giant lovebug. He is super sweet and gives the most gentle kisses. He loves his boxer sis and bro and kisses them endlessly. He is thriving in his forever home with other boxers, cats, and 5 people to give him tons of love. He is now in a home where he can be the happy, playful guy he was meant to be..it's hard to tell who is happier..him or us!!! He is an absolute perfect fit. Thank you Barbara, Barbara, Cindy, Rachel and all the rest of the wonderful NJ Boxer Rescue people for doing what you do! We'll be back for more..NO DOUBT!

New Owners: The Arbitell Family

My husband and I adopted Nena (now Emmy) in September 2010. She is an absolute joy. Emmy will turn 1 on November 1 and our granddaughters are already planning her first birthday party. She loves tennis balls, running at the baseball park, riding in the car, playing until she's exhausted (particularly 'find it' and catch) and cuddling. We've been amazed at how quickly she learns almost anything we teach her. While she's not too thrilled with other dogs we're working on that everyday and have now had a few successful visits with our sons four month old boxer. We're looking forward to many happy years with Emmy! Thank you NJBR!!!!

New Owners: The Downing Family

Olivia (brindle), now Katana, who we rescued July 2009. Katana has made a wonderful addition to our family, and our other boxer Judo (fawn) couldn't agree more. Since day one Katana has made an easy transition into our home, and it feels like she has been here forever. She loves to cuddle, play with toys, wrestle with Judo and take naps. We are thankful for her everyday, and she always makes us smile. Thank you NJ Boxer Rescue for changing both of our lives.

New Owners: The Dean Family

We adopted Lindy in September and she has just fit right in like she's always been a part of our family. After seeing her paperwork, we realized she fit in even more than we thought- she has an August birthday- as do both of our children! Lindy is the sweetest dog and very well-mannered. She greets everyone as they get out of bed in the mornings with kisses. During the day, she rests up for her afternoons when the kids come home and she can run and play with them. She anxiously awaits the arrival of my son's school bus and gets so excited to see him come home. At night, she even took it upon herself to join in our family routine of tucking the kids in for bed. She walks from room to room and only leaves when the kids say, " Good night, Lindy." We are so happy we decided to adopt a boxer and thankful to NJ Boxer Rescue for helping us to find the perfect dog for our family!

New Owners: DJ, Jennifer, Noah & Zoë

We adopted Utah, now Rex. He is now at his adult weight and seems happy. He loves to play and loves his walks. He is the most loving dog and loves to give kisses to anyone who will let him. We are still in the learning process and still learning his little quirks and he is still learning ours but he is a really good boy and we are really lucky to have him.

New Owners: Tricia & Armand

Many thanks to the "girls" at Boxer Rescue for sending us Zoe! She is a perfect fit for our family. We lost our 8 y.o. white boxer "Sami" in February, and by the spring we knew that we had to have another (if not for us, then as a playmate for our other boxer "Max"). Along came Zoe, in the spring, and she is having so much fun here. She plays with her big brother Max constantly, they both love the pool. They jump right in and sit on the sun shelf. We can't wait to see what winter brings! I'm sure she will love to play in the snow too! My best to ALL of the volunteers that make NJ Boxer Rescue work!

New Owners: The Dufek Family

We have had Maximus now for about 6 months, from the first day he came in our house,he fit right in and seemed like he had been here forever. What a loving and sweet dog he is,we all love him so much.He is the best,we are soooo happy, and Fletch our other boxer agrees. When Max wants to play,he starts to chew on Fletch's ankles, and then that starts the boxing, its very entertaining.Max has a little arthritis which comes with age,but it does not stop him from chasing squirrells and catching the frizbee.I really think rescue animals are so happy to have another chance and a great home, that they try to be the best they can be,and Max truely is the best.Thank you for everything you do.

New Owners: The Nelson Family

It's hard to believe I've only had Casey (formerly "Kasey") since the end of May. She became a part of my family and my heart almost immediately after I got her and I can't remember my life without her! Casey loves to cuddle, loves to look out of the window, and loves to go on walks. As long as she is next to someone, whether it be me, my roommate, my friends or her grandparents in CT, she is happy! And everyone who meets her is more than happy to have her curled up next to them, or showering them with Boxer wiggles and kisses. I'm so happy to give her the Forever Home she deserves, and so thankful for NJ Boxer Rescue for working hard to match us together.

New Owners: Danielle

We are pleased to introduce Peanut (on right, adopted 5/09) and Otis (on left, adopted 4/10). What a wonderful pair they are! Peanut was skin and bones and had no idea what life in a loving home was like! And Otis, well, he's the type of boy who had to learn to do on his own. Now together, they are the reason for our daily smiles. Imagine twice as many wiggles and kisses! We can tell that Peanie and Odie truly appreciate all that NJBR did for them in helping to bring them to their new home, our home, because they are happy, healthy, and wigglicious pups! If you are unsure about adopting a dog, don't be...these two have turned into the best boxers we've owned! Thank you, again, NJBR!

New Owners: The Peterson Family

Lucy is a great dog and she loves her new home. she is great with dogs at the dog park and she loves to run and play all the time. best of luck to all the dogs that still need homes.

New Owner: Eric

We adopted Bella in October 2009. She has been such a joy to our lives as well as a wonderful addition to our family. She recently celebrated a birthday and loved all of the attention that she received. Bella loves going to the park chasing around tennis balls, as well as chasing the squirrels. Bella also gets along with our parent's boxer, Abby (not affiliated with NJBR). They enjoy sleeping together on the sofa and going for walks. We are so lucky that we were able to adopt Bella through NJBR. Thanks to NJBR for all the hard work and for giving us a wonderful dog.

New Owners: Michael & Shannon

We adopted Laila (on the left) in December 2009 after the sudden passing of our beloved boxer, Lexi (who we had also adopted through NJ Boxer Rescue). She came to us practically starved from her previous owners and had separation anxiety issues. With lots of love and TLC, Laila has become a vibrant and playful boxer. In May 2010, we adopted Max (formerly Phatboy) so that Laila could have a boxer friend. They became instant pals and have filled the hole in our hearts with so much love. Max is "the gentle giant" while Laila is the young, silly goofball. They are both wonderful with our children and make us laugh all of the time with their playful antics.. Thank you, once again, NJ Boxer Rescue for helping us find our furry bundles of love!

New Owners: Kathleen, George & Family

I just wanted to thank you for letting us adopt Gotti. We are a first time dog owner and could not ask for a better addition to our family. What a personality he has, makes us laugh every day. We took 9 months to find the right dog and you found the perfect fit.

New Owners: The Smith Family

Bruce (formerly Boris) came to our house as a foster dog about a month ago. He was a little shy at first but has blossom into a happy boxer that he deserves to be. He loves to go for long walks, loves the beach and the ocean. He is super obedient and loves people. He loves hugs and kisses and loves it when we scratch his back and belly. He walks beautifully on the leash, knows few basic commends, and knows he has to sit when we give him food and doesn't mind if we take it away even if he is not finished. He is still getting used being a second boxer, however we are working with him to make him tolerant of our little female boxer that loves him and wants nothing more but play and run around with him.

New Owners: The Rozborska Family

I work at the doggy day care facility that was fostering Sadie. My coworker told me about her as soon as he saw her the day after she arrived. I rushed to work to meet her and fell absolutely in love. Boxers happen to be my favorite breed of dog, but her personality is what won me and my family over. At 3 years old, she is shockingly mellow but has her adorable bursts of lovable boxer energy. We would like to thank Susan and Megan for all of their help in adopting Sadie. She is a wonderful, beautiful addition to our family, and she seems perfectly content in her new forever home.

New Owners: The Petersons

My wife and I have had boxers since we met. We were going to get a new puppy when we got our house but we found out about boxer rescue. We saw charlie and fell in love with him the minute we saw him. As soon as we met him we knew he would fit us pefectly. We would like to thank Barbra and Megan for working with us to find charlie the best home he could be in. He is a special dog and brings smiles to us everytime we look at him. Thank you Boxer Rescue

New Owners: Dave & Laura Schilling

Calli is my name, short for Calliope, meaning strong of voice. I used to be called Camelia but I like my new name just fine. I came to live at my forever home in May of 2010 where my voice is a welcome addition to the house. I wish my people spoke "boxer" already, but they sure are trying to learn, so I'll keep teaching them. I'm so happy here, especially when I have a toy or ball in my mouth. When people tell me how cute I am, I thank them with wiggles and kisses. My human family is loads of fun; my aunts, uncles and cousins never tire of throwing me the ball. My grand mom brings me treats and toys every time she comes to visit. My mom makes sure I eat all my food, takes me on walks in the park, and even sometimes lets me try to climb a tree after one of those pesky squirrels. So far, though, no luck in catching one! Mom wants me to thank NJBR for rescuing me and letting me be adopted by her. I can't imagine what she would do without me, so thanks, NJBR!!

June 13th! It's my Birthday, I had some doggie ice-cream YUM! I am here now a year and as you can see I am pretty comfy. I just love these pillows. My name is Jake and as my owner says I am the blessing of the family and love to have other family members over. The kids wear me out. We have a big yard and these bunnies and squirrels make me crazy. I love my walks and I will be going to the Ocean in August. Can't wait to see the waves. Many thanks to the NJBR for their guidance and helpfulness to find us our Jake. You guys are great and making a tremendous sacrifice in rescuing these animals.

Artie and I have had some awesome adventures. I take him every where with me and try to introduce him to as many experiences as possible. He has gone to my friends horse farm and met her horses. I think he thought they were big dogs. I discovered he likes cats, but they are not to found of him when he tries to kiss them. He has been meeting more and more dogs all the time. We have actually progressed to the point where we go to the dog park and he has a great time. He has a lot of doggy friends..males and females and all breeds. Artie is an amazing dog. This past christmas my mother passed away and it was very traumatic for me. I honestly believe Artie saved my life. He was and is there for me when I come home to my empty house. He seems to know how to always cheer me up. He is truly my best friend and I can't thank you enough for giving me the opportunity to love him and spoil him rotten.

We adopted our boy Cole from NJ Boxer Rescue nearly a year ago. We are thankful everyday that he has come into our life. He has been the perfect companion for our younger boxer Bruce and the two of them are completely inseparable. Not to mention that he is in love with our kitty Tango too! Thank you NJ Boxer for all your help and we look forward to adopting many more boxers in the future.

Hi, my name is Sonu and this is me at my birthday party. My mom & dad adopted me from the NJ Boxer Rescue 3 years ago and I couldn't be happier. I have a leather couch to nap on all day and they just bought me a big king sized bed to sleep on at night! When my mom and dad picked me up I was so skinny that my ribs were showing, but with all of the TLC that I've gotten I went from 59 lbs to 105 lbs. I love baths and playing with all of my toys. I love going to my grandparents house and playing with my uncles Stamper and Joba, and my cousin Lucious. Now my mom and dad are looking into getting me a new friend from the boxer rescue and I can't wait. I'm so glad that I've found my forever home!!

This is Merci. She is doing great. Right now, she is sleeping on the floor of my office along with her brother Zemo. She has become a darling of the neighborhood, all of the kids want to pet her. She is a very good dog and has adjusted well to our home. She gets along great with Zemo and we have a very happy home.

We celebrated Ratchet's first birthday today and we realize how blessed we are since he has joined our family. I appreciate all the help and guidance we received and I look forward to many years of paying it forward. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

DJ joined our family toward the end of January, 2010. We have seen her personality blossom. DJ is a very loving and lovable girl. When we sit on the floor, she has not control over her "licker". DJ loves playing with her new "Mr. Bill" and pig toy, and also Beth's tennis balls (we've counted 5 so far throughout the house, not including the yard). DJ enjoys long walks through the neighborhood and has made friends with our neighbors and the school crossing guards too! She loved the snow falls and played a lot with snowballs. At night DJ makes sure we are all tucked in and only then does she go to sleep on her bed in Beth's bedroom. With the addition of DJ to our home, we are always smiling when we enter our home and DJ is waiting at the French door "wiggling and wagging her tail". DJ never fails to make us smile.

My husband, Scott, & I have adopted Freckles only after 2 weeks. He started out as our foster dog but we fell in love with him instantly and could not give him up. Freckles is a very happy, laid back dog and our 10 and 12 year old children, Carleigh & Sam, love him to pieces. Thank you to NJ Boxer Rescue for the wonderful work you do and we look forward to continuing our volunteer work with you.

Gilbert and Maggie are best buds because Maggie lets him be the boss... of course Spooky is the boss of all of us. Gilbert is a goofy, lovable, ALWAYS HUNGRY boxer who follows me everywhere. We got off to a rocky start - he got skunked 4 days after he moved in and he stole food whenever he got the chance - especially loaves of bread. But he learned the rules very quickly and he is a very smart boy. He doesn't steal food anymore and I give him bread as a treat. HE LOVES IT! The excitement for a piece of white bread is unbelievable and makes me laugh every time. We are all thankful to all the wonderful people at NJ Boxer Rescue!

We'd like to thank all at Boxer Rescue, especially Tania and Donna. Dunkin and Cooper are getting along very well. They are best buddies. We were looking for a play mate for Cooper and Tania brought Dunkin (Formerly Jackson) to us. Cooper and Dunkin hit it off as soon as the saw each other. They each have their own special personalities, but they compliment each other so nicely. Cooer and Dunkin are a perfect match. Thanks, Tania and Donna for helping us find the perfect playmate and buddy for Cooper. Dunkin and Cooper also have fun playing with their cousin, Dudley.

New Owners: The Dembeck Family

Just wanted to say thanks to all at Boxer Rescue for bring me Dudley. He's been with me since March and has adjusted very well. He's very playful and loves his treats. Dudley enjoys playing with his cousin's Cooper and Dunkin, as well as Dakota and Patches. Dudley is a wonderful boy. I'd like to thank Tania for all her help in bring Dudley to us.

I can hardly remember how scared and shy i was before i got here but thanks to Susan and Nick i never have to worry about that again(they were my foster parents) .They worked very hard to find me the best home and Mommy keeps in touch to let them know how well I'm doing because they miss me so much. I wish a happy life for all my NJBR canines and may you all find your "forever home" too.

We adopted Tyson two weeks ago. We knew we wanted to adopt another boxer to be a playmate for our two year old female boxer, Guinness. Tyson is exactly what our family needed. He has such a warm, loving, and playful personality. Guinness loves her new brother. They are having a blast together. They keep my husband and I laughing constantly. We feel so blessed to have Tyson join our family. Thank you NJBR for helping make our family complete.

New Owners: The Griffin Family

My boyfriend and I adopted Buster in July 2009. When we first looked at your website we weren't looking for a senior boxer. We had two Siberian Husky puppies and were looking for another young dog dog for them to play with. We even considered fostering. But every time I went onto the site I kept reading Buster's bio. We finally decided to try and meet Buster. We instantly fell in love with him and our kids and other "kids" fell in love with him too. He is always by our side and wants to be loved all the time. He is truly a blessing to our family and we would recommend a "Senior" boxer to anyone. Even though he is 9 years old, he is just as playful as our 1 year old puppies. We would adopt another senior boxer in a heartbeat. Thank you for all for all that you do.

New Owners: The Back-Streisel Family

When we filled out an application to become a foster family, we had no idea what we were in for. After being approved, we received a call that there was a boxer in desperate need of foster. He was surrendered over 3 months ago and in a kennel because he could not go to a foster home with other dogs. The kennel life was really stressing him out and he was very depressed. When I went to pick him up, he was was full of nervous energy and his eyes were so full of despair...A long car ride later and a week of love and stability and we knew he was "our" dog and would not be going anywhere. Although it breaks our hearts that he did not have a loving family and life for the first 5 years of his life, we are so happy that our paths crossed; it was meant to be and two months later, we can't imagine our lives without our amazing boy, Lex. He will never have to worry about lack of love again; he has found his happy ending and so did we! Thank you NJBR for making our family complete!

New Owners: Andrea & Frank

We adopted MaryAnn on October 1. We were very surprised to see how much energy she has, and how much she loves to run and play. She runs around as soon as she wakes up, encouraging our 3 and 5 yr old Boxers to play while I fix their breakfast. Vinnie, Maggie and MaryAnn were fast friends, sleeping together within 2 days, and playing with each other from the start. Having an older dog in the group seems to have given Vinnie a sense of calm. Our cats love MaryAnn too. They could tell immediately that she was not a threat to them. They rub on her, and she loves it. Thank you NJBR for giving us the opportunity to adopt MaryAnn!

New Owners: Jeff & Denise

We adopted Molly in May of 2009 and she has quickly become such an amazing and integral part of our family. Her overwhelming love for our children and any kids she comes across is truly beautiful to see. She is extremely smart and funny and provides our family with daily morning laughs as she chases her nubby. She is doing wonderful and we are so proud to have our beautiful Molly as part of our family. We think she is just the best!

New Owners: Shari, George & Family

We adopted our Stella in April 2009. Hard to imagine that she has only been with us for 5 months as it feels like she has always been with us. She fit right into our family and although her "little" brother Patrick (our 1-1/2 year old Brindle Boxer) may be too playful for her at times, she holds her own and lets him know when she's had enough and he respects that. I just love this little girl- she is so sweet, just loves to be with us and has the best manners. She likes everyone she meets- canine and human, especially children- they just love Stella and her gentle nature letting them pet and cuddle up with her. I am so thankful for NJ Boxer Rescue and especially her foster family for helping this loving girl find her forever home.Thank you everyone at NJ Boxer Rescue.

Roxy, or as we like to call her, "Foxy Roxy," is a fantastic addition to our family. She quickly had us laughing with her playful antics and quick wit! Foxy Roxy has such a sweet & gentle demeanor too. She garners attention wherever we take her. She enjoys going for rides in the car, camping, walks to the park and curling up in her "blankie" for a snooze. Rescuing an animal has more benefits & rewards than you can imagine. Rescuing a senior animal is an absolute blessing! Thank you NJBR.

I would like to take this opportunity to say Thank you!! Dave and I adopted Diesel this past Saturday. In less than 48 hours he has become a part of our family, he is very intelligent and the biggest mush ever!!!!! This is my idea of a very happy ending for Dave, Diesel and me!!!!

New Owners: Dave & Edie

Our little Reilly came to us on Mother's Day weekend. What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday. When I met her the weekend before, I knew that she was a special little girl, and how right I was. Reilly was known as Smiley Reilly by her foster parents, Annemarie and Adam, and they were right on target. This little boxer knows how to enjoy and appreciate life and bring a smile to everyone she meets. It has been eight weeks since she came to our house, and she has proven to be much more than a boxer with special needs-she is a SPECIAL boxer, and we are very lucky to have her. Her little bunny hop is unique, and she makes friends wherever she goes. She is a friend to all humans and dogs, and lives to make everyone who knows her feel better about life. We plan on spending years and years with this little girl. Thank you, Annemarie and Adam and New Jersey Boxer Rescue. You have made the Pearlman family very happy.

New Owners: Joan & Peter

We adopted Coco from NJBR 6 weeks ago. Talk about boxer wiggles and kisses.... she gives them both so frequently!!! She too has to follow me around all day and at night likes to curl up next to us and must be leaning on one of us in bed. I did have to add another blanket to our bed so there is enough blankets for all of us, LOL. I love to watch her run around our yard and jumping like a gazelle, so graceful and a petite little girl, but full of muscle. I think she is very happy here, just as happy as we are to have her. So thanks again to Arlene and Kerry for helping us find another perfect match for our household! And NJBR for all the wonderful work that everyone does!!

New Owners: Ron & Doreen

We recently adopted Dutch and are amazed by him every day. He is such a gentle soul, and has a happy playful spirit. A perfect mix of personality! He has settled into our daily routine here with no sign of any displacement, or confusion. Our family is in love with Dutch! We are thrilled with him and how well he is fitting into our family. It's wonderful to have boxer wiggles again! We can't thank you enough and everyone at boxer rescue for all you have given to these dogs and their new families. We especially want to thank Julian and his family for doing such a wonderful job while fostering him. He is a very confident and affectionate boy and we are delighted that he is now part of our family.

New Owners: The Pisano Family

Rocky in his new home! Do you think he is comfortable in his new home, just look at him! He is doing really well. He loves to be outside Jake and him run circles around the yard. He has been a great dog, we are so happy we have him.

New Owners: Norm & Janet

Mini and Max, formally Lily and Dexter, have been such a wonderful addition to our family. They are so connected and caring of one another, we are so thankful they were not separated. They are constantly intertwined, like yin and yang. To have the energy and love of two boxers back in our home has been therapeutic. We all love to cuddle every evening!

Mini and Max were found abandoned outside when NJ Boxer rescued them. To see how they are willing to trust again has been inspiring. Our hearts are filled. Thank you Boxer Rescue.

New Owner: The Tiberi Family

Lilly is doing wonderful. We adore her and are so happy to have her. She is doing great, eating well, getting plenty of exercise and attention! I've already taken her to Petco and boy did she like that trip!

This is a picture of Sampson and Delilah adopted by Tom, Doreen, and Kelsey McMullin. Not only are Sampson and Delilah happy, but our family is now complete. A special thank you to Lisa for all her help and to the boxer rescue. My new brother and sister are the ones on the left.

New Owners: The McMullin Family

Hi everyone. My name is Tyson. I adopted my new Mom, her name is Barbara, on December 10, 2008. The minute I met her when she came to visit me in my foster home, I knew she was for me. I acted like a nut with the other dogs there, and she didn’t even care. She hugged me and kissed me anyway. When she picked me up a couple of days later, I just knew I was going to my forever home. I’m still nutty after three months in my new home, but everyone who meets me thinks I’m just adorable. Thank you NJBR, and especially Annemarie and Adam, for all that you did to help me find my forever home. I know I am truly loved.

New Owner: Barbara

This is our newly adopted lapdog, Rex. The vet thinks he is about 18 months old. We’ve only had him a short time, but it feels like he has been with us forever. What a great addition to our home. Rex is such a lover. Follows me around where ever I go. He loves people and kids! Good thing, in this house. Our family comes here frequently. All he needs is some TLC and some basic training and he will be even more of the great dog a boxer can be. Thanks again, NJ Boxer Rescue!

New Owners: Doreen & Ron

This is Dizzy. He was named Max when he was with NJ boxer rescue. I adopted him in January 2005. From the day I picked him up he has been an amazing dog. He has so much personality and a real love for people. Not a day goes by that I don't have someone tell me how much they love Dizzy and he is a requested guest everywhere I am invited to. We have really been spending life together and for the last year he has had a brother named Junior (also a rescue). The picture is them together. They are inseparable and love each other very much. Dizzy is happy and healthy and secure for life.

New Owner: Nick

I just wanted to wish everyone at NJ Boxer Rescue a Happy Holidays. Baby was our first rescue and she fit in with our family perfectly. In April we had to let her go to Rainbow Bridge, three weeks later we brought home Cyrus. He was just what we needed, great big ball of wiggles and kisses. He is definitely being spoiled and he loves it. He doesn't seem to realize that he is not a lap dog, but we don't mind. We couldn't have asked for a better dog. We have decided that Cyrus needs a four legged buddy to keep him company.

New Owners: The Phillips Family

We adopted Harley on December 14, 2008. She has been nothing but a joy, and a true blessing to our household. We all love her so much. She is truly enjoying her forever home and she knows exactly how much she is loved. She is our princess. Thank you so much to Laurie, Kerry, Mary Jean, and everyone at boxer rescue. You all worked so quickly for Harley to be adopted to us. This organization is absolutely wonderful.

New Owners: The Stubbs Famil

My name is Utley and I've been in my new, forever home since April. I just love it here and they just LOVE me. That's even their last name! I love all kids and pretty much all other dogs. I'm really happy to be here and my family is so grateful to NJBR for helping us find each other. Barb, my foster mom, didn't have me for long, but she took great care of me while she did have me and loves to see pictures of me and to hear how I'm doing. Well, I'm off to find something I can steal...that clean laundry looks just my speed!

New Owners: The Love Family

What a blessed Thanksgiving this year! Peanut came to us the day after Thanksgiving and we are so happy to have her as part of our family. Our boy Ceasar had recently lost his long-time fur friend and he became very sad and lonely. When Peanut came bouncing into the house with all of her wiggles and kisses, Ceasar just seemed to perk right up. Right from the start, they ran and played in the yard and snuggled together on the dog bed, or sometimes the couch if you weren't looking. We are very thankful to NJBR for saving her and taking really good care of her, Lindsey and Cindy you’re the best!

New Owners: The Carlucci Family

You cannot imagine how heart wrenching it is to give up your boxer. To this day we miss her greatly. But miracles happen and our miracle was Tania from NJBR. I cannot say enough about how terrific NJBR is as an organization - the compassion and understanding I received was amazing. I did not want to do this but Samantha needed so much more than we could give her. Tania kept promising me she'd find the perfect family for Sammy and oh how she did. Today Samantha is exactly where she belongs - with a family where there's a large fenced yard, a big brother for her to box with and children to play with plus lots of love.

It's been a little over a year since Ollie and I found each other, and I can't imagine life without him. We've formed a very strong bond and are the best of friends. We enjoy doing lots of things together - walks, trips to the beach, hiking in the park, driving around town and quite a few training courses. Some say Ollie was lucky to find me, but I definitely think I was the lucky one!

We consider ourselves so lucky to have Dallas in our family. He is a wonderful companion and so very good around the baby in our family and large numbers of people. A belated thank you to you all for helping to bring Dallas to us.

Hello, my name is Murphy and the human in the picture with me is my new dad!!! I have a new mom and sister too, but they were hiding behind the camera! I love my new home and have been welcomed by the entire family with opened arms. Since I have been with my new family I have been trying to learn how to swim. NJBR thank you so much for finding me a GREAT forever home and family.

New Owners: The Grant Family

Hi! I am Sarah Rose. My new family added the name Rose because they like my pink coloring. They tell me I am the sweetest girl they have ever met. I have a huge backyard to play in and lots of toys. Best of all, I have a new “brother.” My new brother’s name is Elvis and he is so handsome! We love to romp and play rough in the backyard. My new girls Katie, Paige and Jordyn love to take Elvis and I on long walks through the neighborhood. Thanks to everyone at NJBR for taking such good care of me!!

New Owners: The Vasquez Family

Things are great with Samantha. I can't imagine Jet without her now. They sleep together, play together and Jet is even better to take walks with because of her. They share everything such as toys, beds and even water bowls without any aggression. They are a perfect match! After her first night, she settled right in and she is a great addition to our family. I would like to thank you Tania, for all your help in making this happen for Jet and out family.

New Owners: The Blau Family

Here we are, the 3 stoogetts! Hi, my name is Trinity Lynn. I am the cute one in the middle. These are my sisters, Jersey & Jada. I've been in my wonderful home now for 1 year. I am having the best time of my life. We have a huge back yard with tons of toys & a small swimming pool. I just love the water! We also go to the park where we get lots of exercise. I also want to thank Chris for bringing me to them. Did I mention that I love treats?

New Owners: Linda & Lou

Cooper is a wonderful boy. When we first met him on Tuesday he was a little bit afraid of us. But after a short time he began to relax and trust us. When Donna arrived on Sunday. We could see that he was extremely excite to see us. Once in the house, he greeted us as if he knew us all his life. He wanted to kiss and play the entire time. After Donna left, we went out in the yard and played the rest of the afternoon. Within a half hour he was playing and acting if he lived here all along.

New Owners: The Dembeck Family

Duke has been a perfect addition to our family. Duke (left) and Maxie (right) are inseparable. We wanted Maxie to have a companion, someone to play with and keep her out of trouble. We got Maxie as a puppy and she is 10 months old and full of energy. Well Duke came along and was the perfect balance to our home. He is a big Gentle Giant. All he wants to do is give us hugs and kisses. NJ Boxer Rescue is a great organization that really cares about Boxers and finding the right home for boxers who had a tough start. I know that my family is very grateful.

New Owners: Denice & Family

I am the Boxer Formerly known as Tyson. I am from NJ Boxer rescue who got me from Newark, but now I have been blessed to have been adopted by a great Family, and I now live up the hill in West Orange. In a big ole house with a big ole yard and lots of food.

New Owners: Brian & Family

We adopted Ramsey in December and I cannot say enough great things about him. He is just the sweetest little boy you’ll ever meet. He and his new sister Gucci are absolutely inseparable. They are constantly playing and running around. Adopting him was definitely one of the best things I’ve ever done. I love him to death. He is my spoiled little boy and I am proud to say he has slept in my bed every night since I’ve had him! I can’t imagine my home without him. Ramsey is definitely living the life he was always meant to have.

New Owners: Hailey

We adopted Jack in December and he couldn’t have fit more perfectly into our family. Jack adores his new sister, Madison. They can spend hours in the backyard chasing each other and wrestling. He is full of energy and is keeping his older sister young at heart. At the end of the day, they will snuggle up together for a long nap. It seems he can never get close enough to her. We too, are grateful for him and NJBR for expanding our family.

New Owners: Kerry & Mike

We never thought we could love another boxer as much as our last boy TJ, but Josie (previously Geneveive) has proved us wrong. Josie has filled a spot in our hearts that was empty when TJ passed away and we are truly grateful. When she came to us in August she fit in immediately and she takes turns sleeping with our two sons Ryan & Dillon. Thank you NJ Boxer Rescue for all your hard work and dedication to such a wonderful breed of dog!

New Owners: The Burns Family

Here are some pictures of JOJO hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as we love JOJO. He is very active....he loves to walk me. Always willing to play ball and tug of war. JoJo is aspiring to become a lap dog......all 60+ pounds of him. Recently he has climbed up onto of mommy when she is watching the news or a movie because he wants ALL the attention, and don't stop rubbing my head and hind end or I will lick you until you’re soaked........ He absolutely loves riding in the car. Needless to say....JOJO is a keeper!!! JOJO has stolen our heart and found a home.
This is our beloved Jeter who we adopted in early September. I cannot say enough about this wonderful boy! In traditional boxer fashion, he absolutely loves to give out kisses and is most content snuggling up next to one of us on the couch or bed. Although he really enjoys his walks on the beach and to the park, as well as playing with us in the yard, he is generally a very laid back guy, and prefers to be inside lazing around next to his family or playing with his bone or stuffed animals. Our family can not thank NJ Boxer Rescue enough for the gift of Jeter!

We adopted Meesha (now Zoe) in October and she is doing fabulous! There is no lack of attention for Zoe - between our 9 year old boxer Ernie and our son and daughter she always can find someone to cuddle or play with! Our son absolutely adores her and makes "cat sounds" to get her to follow him around the house. I would think she would enjoy a break from an active 5 year old boy, but when he goes to bed she follows in to cuddle with him.

New Owner: Lauren & Brian

Duke is doing just fine after 2 weeks you would think he has lived with us for years, Marie and I just love him and god he knows it LOL , he is good while we are at work, and being a young boy I get boxer wiggles for like 15 minutes when I get home along with a lot of kisses.

New Owner: Lou

I can't believe I have only had Dempsey for over a month now. It feels like he has been my dog forever! I couldn't have asked for a better boxer. He fits right in at the local dog park, where he gets to go every day, and has even made other boxer friends who he greets at the gates. Dempsey and I go everywhere together, and he even seems to enjoy his weekly training classes. I look forward to the years ahead with Dempsey!

New Owner: Lindsey

We adopted Bailey in August 2006. We absolutely adore her and just could not imagine our lives without her now. She is the sweetest, most gentle boxer and she brings us so much happiness. Thank you to Greta, Ellen and Vicki for everything that you did to help us.

New Owners: John & Jillian

We adopted Henna in August and Zeus in April (2 on the left with natural ears). We now have 4 boxers in our home and life couldn't be better. Henna was surrendered to a shelter in north Jersey and was brought in with a euthanasia request. She is approximately 10 years old (although she acts half that). Thankfully the shelter couldn't do it because she was a gentle, sweet dog and they contacted NJBR. There is nothing better than giving a rescue dog a second chance. No doubt our two rescues are living life now the way they deserve and we love it!

New Owners: Chris & Pete

We have had the joy of having Lexi in our lives since April 2007. Every day that we have had with her has been nothing but sheer happiness. She is the most gentle, lovable, and well-behaved girl and is WONDERFUL with our 2 small children. Lexi has truly made our family complete.....we could not imagine our lives without her! NJ Boxer Rescue is such a terrific organization, and everyone who is a part of it defines what special people REALLY are.

New Owners: Kathleen, George & Family

We adopted Cody in July of 2004. We knew we wanted a boxer due to their loving, sweet nature and how lovable they are with Children. Thank you so much NJBR for enriching us with such a fun loving, wonderful playmate who brings us much joy and happiness everyday! We love him so much!

New Owners: Jennifer & Robert

We adopted Baxter at the end of January 2007. He has been an absolute joy for us and our other boxer Lola. They play together, sleep together and are 100% inseparable. Since we adopted Baxter he has gained over 13lbs and is looking as healthy as ever. He is just the cutest little thing with his giant droopy jowls. And he is definitely a "Mama's Boy." We just wanted to say thank you to the NJBR and we looking forward to adopting a boxer from you in the future.

New Owners: Brian & Stephanie

We have had Kano for over a year now and he is the greatest gift we could have ever given to our kids. We will never have any other dog but a boxer and Kano reassures us that they are by far the greatest family members you could ever ask for. Thank you NJBR.

New Owners: Jim, Donna, Dominick, Juli & Nicky

It is hard to believe that Madison has been with us for 2 months. She is a real joy and we love her dearly. She gets along well with all the other dogs in our family. We had everyone's dogs here while they were on vacation and Madison thoroughly enjoyed herself. She loved running and playing with each and everyone. We will keep you up-to-date on her progress. Thanks again for such a wonderful dog and all your help in getting her.

New Owners: Dorothy & Family

Rosie (formerly known as Lady Ro) came to live with us exactly two weeks after our beloved Sidda died suddenly of a brain hemorrhage. Rosie had big shoes to fill. She has been a wonderful addition to our lives. She loved Maya from Day One and they are best friends, sleeping together and partying, I am sure, when we are not at home. In this photo, Rosie shares her beloved food with Maya!

New Owners: Maribeth, Paul, Peter & Catherine

We adopted Rocky two months ago and he has already brought us so much happiness. He is always making us laugh. He is very affectionate and loves to give kisses. He has made a few dog friends as well. He loves going for walks and rides in the car and he's even starting jogging. So far he has adjusted well to his new life. We look forward to many wonderful years having him as part of our family. We would like to thank everyone at NJBR for bringing Rocky and us together.

New Owners: Tracy & Ron

Ruby is ten and she plays like she is a pup. Ruby is the greatest dog we have ever had. She is the sweetest, most lovable dog that we have ever met. Ruby is an absolute blessing and we fell in love with her the first day we had brought her home. If you feel that you would be a good match for a senior dog it's a great opportunity to give back to these dogs so they can find what they have been missing all along.

New Owners: Laurie & Alex

My name is Salem (formerly Tyson) and I've been with my forever family for 2 weeks now. I just love my new parents! They take me lots of cool places like Joey's Dog Boutique, the park, and tons of walks. I've settled right in and now Mommy and Daddy call me a "love bug". I have lots of fun toys to play with, although I prefer just to sleep with them. Thank you NJ Boxer Rescue for taking me in and to Regan, Kerry and Mike for helping me to find a family that loves me soooooo much. LIFE IS GOOD!

New Owners: Robin & Dean

Meet Fynn and Murphy (formerly Coors). They are our dynamic duo of mischief, but they make us laugh and smile every day. We adopted Murphy (on the right) in August after several months of looking for a second dog. It took a while to find the right dog, but we are so glad we waited for Murphy! Life has definitely gotten more exciting since we adopted Murphy, but we couldn't imagine it any other way.

New Owners: Michelle & Mike

We've had Penny almost a month now and we have thoroughly enjoyed having her as a part of our family! Any reservations we had about an older dog, a female dog, or getting a second boxer, disappeared within the first day that Penny was with us. She is a sweet, smart girl and looks at us with what can only be described as gratefulness in her eyes whenever we pet her! We are so glad we found her when we did!

New Owners: The Miller Family

We just love our New Puppy Bella (Emma) She fits right in with our gang. We have a place down the shore and she loves riding in the golf cart and visiting with all the kids and other dogs. She is so well behaved. She loves giving us kisses and loves to play catch. We can’t imagine our life without her. She has stolen our hearts!! She is a wonderful addition to our family and we just love love love her so much!!

New Owners: George, Debi & Family

Gracey Kay (formerly "Rainey") has quickly adapted to her new, loving home. We couldn't have asked for better dog. She is the most loving and cuddly dog we have ever seen. She will press her chest against you so that you know she's in need of a hug. She also rests her head on your lap when she wants a scratch. We are so grateful to have her!! She's the perfect addition to our family.

New Owners: Sharon & Scott

Augie is practically perfect. We cannot imagine how anyone could ever have let him go or how he wasn’t adopted instantly during his residence at a shelter. In any case, their loss is our gain. We truly appreciate the professional and caring approach that all the representatives of NJBR have put forth; their sage advice has provided a genuine source of support. Our family is grateful for the opportunity to provide a home and a family for this wonderful, loving boxer!

New Owners: Mary Jean & Don

We adopted Pup Pup "Puppers" on Friday, June 29, 2007 and so far she has been an absolute doll. We love her so much and so does our other female boxer, Lucy. That's Puppers on the right. Look how happy they look together! We will continue to share our photos with New Jersey Boxer Rescue. Thank you Lori, Mark, Kristen & Vicki for all of your help! We just love our new family!

New Owners: McDonnell Family

Hi! I'm Hailey and I am wiped out as you can see by my picture! We were running around playing with my toys, which we do allot. I have a lot of toys, but not a favorite one. I even like my brother's toys and he's a cat! I'm really happy here. They take good care of me with all of my allergies and I'm feeling really good. They are always hugging me and my brother and giving us lots of kisses. I like that a lot. I'm so glad NJ Boxer Rescue brought us together. We all complete each other!

New Owners: Elizabeth & Rich

Hi, that's me, Zoey, on the right. I got to come and live with my mom and former "sister" Brielle 3 years ago. Mom use to call me her "little witchy girl" cause I was filled with so much Boxer mischief. I have developed all of my house manners (with just a little encouragement from mom) since those early days and now she calls me her "Little Angel." I love my mom, she loves me and we both are happier than we ever imagined we could be being a foster family for other "kids" from NJBR who we get to share our love with and who are overjoyed to love us back! What a wonderful world it is!

Sugar Ray is awesome. He fits in with our family perfect. He loves playing catch with my two boys & running around the yard.

New Owners: The Waller Family

Hera is the most lovable, affectionate, well-behaved little girl anyone could ever ask for. She and our two daughters are inseparable and are the heart of our family. All she wants to do is be hugged and danced with (we actually thought about changing her name to ABBA, for she is our Dancing Queen). We can't imagine life without her. She has us smiling all day long!!! Thank God for the volunteers at the New Jersey Boxer Rescue. Thank you for bringing such joy to our lives.

New Owners: Judy & Danielle

We aren't to sure how we lasted 2 and a half years with just one boxer. Layla was a perfect addition to our family. Her older brother Magner welcomed her with wiggles and kisses, now they are inseparable. Laying on their dad's chair after some playtime is their most favorite thing in the world to do. They share toys, food, naps and walk perfectly on the leash together. Apparently Layla is also a big hit at ALL Good Dogs Day Care, just like her older brother.

New Owners: Rob & Tracey

This is Jersey & Jada, the inseparable sisters. We got Jersey last September from the Boxer Rescue as a playmate for Jada. Lots of thanks to Denise, Cindy & all the volunteers for all they do. Grazie!

New Owners: Linda & Lou

Harley (formerly Trinidad) has been with me for 6 months. I can't imagine a day without him. He is the most wonderful boxer boy. Many thanks to Vickie for all the help she gave me, foster mom Amanda for all the months of loving care she gave Harley and NJ Boxer Rescue for saving him from that shelter.

Duke became a member of our family on December 24th. Once we got home Bella welcomed him with tons of happy boxer wiggles and barks. It didn't take long for Dukes' true boxer personality to come out in full force. Duke and Bella get along wonderfully, they play, box and sleep together. Duke LOVES to snuggle with Frank, Bella & I on the couch. He is such a love and wonderful addition to our growing family!

New Owners: Frank & Abby

After spending months in a shelter, NJBR took possession of Spike. He was scared, thin and in need of some TLC. Look at this handsome boy only a few months after being adopted by his forever home!

New Owners: Rick & Chris

Zues is currently enjoying his new family.

We absolutely LOVE Elliot.. He is a great addition to our family of boxers. He gets along so well with the other two boxers because he's so laid back, we could all learn a lot from him, lol. Thank you for doing what you do at NJ Boxer Rescue- we had an outstanding experience with you, and now we have a GREAT dog to show for it.

New Owners: Jeff & Sharon

Here are all the boys in the household all pooped on a Saturday night. Gus came to us from NJ Boxer Rescue at about 6 months old. He fit right in with his brothers Oscar the boxer, Morty the Cow Dog and his friends up and down the street. He is having a very good life here. Thanks NJ Boxer Rescue, keep up the good work.

New Owners: Ryki & Family

First, I wanted to thank everyone at Boxer Rescue for being so accommodating and amazing. As I write this, Riley and Madeleine are rolling around on the couch together, nibbling on one another and biting one another’s ankles, their tails wagging furiously. They walk beautifully together and are pretty famous. I honestly can’t imagine my home without him.

New Owner: Ryan

I don't know how to thank to NJBR specially to Denise, Donna and Cindy for this gift of love that is Louie. He and my other Boxer Oscar never had one incident since the first day Louie came to our house. They eat, sleep and follow me around the house together. They share everything without any problem or aggression. Louie is nice to the cat also.

New Owners: The Rerecich Family

Hi! My name is Jersey Burkhardt, I was adopted from the boxer rescue when I was 8 weeks old. I had a birthday in December and I turned one year old. We had a birthday party for me complete with vanilla cupcakes. my brother and I had a blast. i would like to tell you about my brother his name is Petey, he also came from the boxer rescue. we lived together happily, every day and shared everything.

New Owners: Amy & Family

Isabell is full of love, especially for the girls, and she has just wiggled her way into our hearts. Sometimes I wonder how my family made it so long without a boxer and then I know... we were just waiting for Miss Isabell. She is the perfect dog for us. She is sweet and patient. She gives just the right amount of kisses. She knows which one of us likes to toss the ball, who likes to play the tugging game, and who is best for a wrestle on the floor. She is the perfect snuggle buddy at night and the best walking partner around the neighborhood. She is our companion, our friend, our protector.

New Owners: Michelle, Ira, Erin & Haley

He has won our hearts and is a loving part of our family. Thanks for all you do for these dogs, Deuce truly deserved a happy home and thanks to NJ Boxer Rescue he has one!

New Owners: Susan & David

This is Sammy, adopted in 2006, now enjoying his new family and boxer sister Bella.

New Owners: Jody & Keith

This is Hurley, adopted in 2006, now enjoying her family.

New Owners: Dan & Krista

I can't believe Jodi has been with us for so long. It took no time at all for Jodi to adjust to her new home where she has plenty of room to run around in the yard. She is very spoiled. Joe and I both look forward to coming home and being greeted by Jodi. We get lots of wiggles and kisses. I still can't believe how lucky we are to have found her with the help of NJBR.

New Owners: Joe & Adrienne

Pippen (formerly Peanut) came to us very shy and uneasy not weighing enough and her coat not nice at all. Fast forward the 4 months we have had Pippen and she is a completely different dog. She goes to my parents house everyday while we are at work and her and Sophie run around the house and the backyard playing with their toys. My husband and I love her to death and our parents love her too!! Even when she does something she shouldn’t she has that very innocent look that doesn’t let you stay angry at her. I thank Cindy who helped us try and find the right match and she couldn’t have picked a better fit for us!

New Owners: Gino & Christine

We love having Cyris be a part of our family. He completes us. Thank you to Denise for her quick response on meeting with us for approval and for following up with us. Thank you to Dawn for giving our baby a loving and caring home and choosing us to give him his forever home and keeping in touch. We are truly blessed and are fortunate to have Cyris in our lives. Thank you to everyone with NJBR for the volunteer work you do for the loving boxers who all deserve loving and caring homes. Your hard work is very much appreciated!!!
This is Tai, formerly Tiger. She has been with our family for one year and has been a blessing to us. Tai loves to run and play in her yard. Everyone who meets her, adores her. She is my little girl. Thanks to NJ Boxer Rescue for finding the perfect companion for us.

As soon as the dogs stepped in the house, we knew that they were meant to live with us. They were great with the kids and Dawn talked with us for hours about the dogs and their needs. She then took Anna and King back home and when they left we missed them as if they had always been there. First thing the next morning, I called Dawn and told her we wanted to adopt both the dogs. Our intention was never to get two dogs, but we fell in love the first moment they came into our home and could not imagine life without them now. They are an important part of our family and we are so happy they came into our lives.

New Owners: Diane & Family

Hard to believe it's been almost 1-year since I brought Dozer home. I'm happy to report that's he's now a well adjusted, happy member of our family. His fear of loud engine noises has disappeared when he's on our walks. Food aggression is non-existent. He's learned to play with a few toys, but runs if they're thrown toward him which leads me to believe that he may have been physically abused in the past. For the same reason he won't play catch. Also, we'll soon be able to take long walks on the beach again, Dozer loves the beach!

New Owner: Evan

The Boxer Rescue People brought to my husband and me, the love our lives, Sweetie. How did we ever live without her? A character she is, Everyone knows her and not one person does not love her when they encounter the happy dance and the wiggles and most of all the licks. On your worse day, Sweetie can make you feel like a million dollars. We had the greatest experience with the Rescue People. We just cannot say enough about the Boxer Rescue and all of the wonderful people who do this out of the kindness of their hearts.

New Owners: Barbara & John

Scoop is just wonderful, happy, gaining weight, enjoying the weather and really becoming a Big part of the family. I never thought that we would recover from the loss of Joe Boxer....But thanks to Scoop everyone is Happy again! Thank-you and everyone at NJ boxer rescue.

New Owners: Peggy & Mike

From and inner city shelter.. to Home Sweet Home: We love Lucky so much!!! He is such a clown! He brings smile to our faces every time we look at him. He just learned how to give his paw when he wants something! Amber & Lucky get along great, just sometimes they don't know when to stop when playing. Lucky starts his basic obedience on Sept. 16th, I am looking forward to it. It's going to be so much fun! Thanks for giving us this little boy!

New Owners: Elmer, Iwona & Amber

Cassie is my adorable, deaf, white Boxer. I wanted to adopt her so my Boxer/Golden Retriever, Maggie, wouldn't be lonely when I am not home. I also read that when dogs grow up with other dogs in the house, they tend to be happier, healthier, get more exercise and live longer. Who would have thought that I would get so lucky to find Cassie on the NJ Boxer Rescue website. We absolutely love her and I can't imagine life without her. Maggie and Cassie compliment each other and get along so well, people think they grew up together. Thank you Cindy and NJ Boxer Rescue!!

New Owner: Heather

We would like to thank all the volunteers who save these
wonderful animals and allow them to become integral members of so many families. If you have a chance to adopt a boxer, you will receive more unconditional love than you can ever imagine…give it a chance; we did, and we can’t imagine our family without Oscar!

New Owners: Sara, Dan, Julie & Sam

Since Tino came from NJBR and they were so wonderful to us, we began searching the website and talking with the rescue ladies. They found our little Jayda this past April. From the first time they met, they acted like brother and sister. My favorite activity to watch is when each of them has an end of the tug-toy and they walk down the hall together. They are so precious!!We love both our kids very much, they complete each other & our family!

New Owners: Jimmy & Erica

I think the NJ Boxer rescue was the most well organized rescue I've come across. Our two dogs act like they were born together. They are perfect buddies and love to sleep together. Sometimes we catch Wasabi with his arm around Powder when they're sleeping. How cute!!! Powder is your typical boxer very energetic and playful, Wasabi sometimes can't keep up. We already looked up a boxer rescue in Florida, where we are moving, because we had such a good experience with your organization.

New Owners: Mary Ellen & Vince

Our family recently welcomed a wonderful Senior Boxer into our home and family - and are we glad we did! Beavis, our 10 year old Male Boxer, is an absolute joy to have around.... He is so patient with our two children, who adore him to no end!. "Beavis" is just a big mush and a real clown. He is also a pretty smart guy - we now actually have to spell the word "walk" when he's around, because as soon as he hears the actual word, he goes into his twirling wiggle dance because he knows he's heading out.

New Owners: Robert & Julie

Paulie is having a great time in his new home. He runs zoomies around the hayfields and has great boxing matches with his new big sister Roxanne. He even plays with his new little sister Ellie Crumbles the Chihuahua. You can always find him in his favorite spot on the couch! He has gained almost 20 lbs since he was rescued. He loves everyone he meets and everyone he meets loves him! He has been a great addition to our family! We couldn't have asked for a better buddy!

New Owners: Amy & Rich

Tya is doing great. She is loving the backyard and the snow we've had. She entertains herself when Tyson is too tired to play. She has put on weight, so now no more bones. She is just the sweetest little girl. I think she is finally understanding our routine. She follows us everywhere.

New Owner: Oliuska

Zoey is wonderful. She is my little sweetheart and Baloo's soul mate. They are the ying and yang of dogs. They eat, sleep and play together every minute of the day. Never a growl or a cross look. My boys adore her and even carry her around the house like she is a baby. Her only problem is she tends to be too protective of her family, but she listens when we tell her we are all safe. She is a cuddler and a kisser. She is wonderful on a leash. As you can see from the pictures, she was gained weight and no longer looks neglected, and, she has a nice big smile.

New Owner: Judy

Lexi has adapted really well to us and her new home. Her collection of toys are scattered comfortably throughout the house. Lexi makes a game of hiding her bones. She covers them or pushes her toys over top of them; then walks away and checks on them to see if they are still there. Lexi is truly a loveable Boxer. She likes to be my helper in whatever I am doing, even folding clothes. Lexi's boxer wiggle looks like she's making the "C" in YMCA. Her moment of bliss is when she snuggles in between us on the couch at night while we watch TV (or maybe it's the bed)!

New Owners: Bernice & Vance

Toby is doing great in his new home! The first week he was a little quiet and timid, but now we can see his real personality and he is a typical bouncy boxer puppy with those great wiggles! He has gained 5 pounds so far in his first few weeks and looks better than ever. Toby is a real couch potato and wants to be touching you at all times, it's so cute. Sometimes I call him "shadow" because whenever you leave the room he goes too, even if he is in a deep sleep. He doesn't want to miss one second of what you are doing! Toby is a wonderful addition to our home and we couldn't be happier to have him in our life.

New Owners: Jay & Kim

We were a bit nervous having another dog enter our home. We were unsure how she would handle the situation...she was the baby of the house since she was 8 weeks old. But, the second Petey entered our lives...it has been great. The NJBR placed the best dog in our home. Both dogs are inseparable and we are so happy with our new addition.

First we need to thank Greta for helping us find a wonderful match for our family, we adopted Colby a little over four months ago to be a companion to our 11 year old Sheppard. When he first got here he was shy, but settled right in. He is a big lover! Colby loves to give kiss to us and his new brother Buster. He loves to run around the yard with a basketball in his mouth, it is his favorite toy. We love having him as part of of our family!

New Owners: Barbara & Dave

Rocky is doing great. He loves the beach, and is quite good on the trails too, only running on a leash. I am attaching two pictures of us during the snow from last week. At first he didn't like the snow, but once he realized it wouldn't hurt him he absolutely loved it.

New Owner: Ben

Here's a picture of me cheering on my biggest sister in a horseback riding competition. I'm wearing her team's colors. My family always takes me with them to horse competitions because I'm so well behaved, and I always end up being the center of attention because I am just so adorable!

New Owners: Donna & Family

We've been doing great together. Brooke does a little tap dance when we get home from work-adorable. For Christmas she got a snuggly dog bed that she loves and now sleeps next to the bed. She does come up to give us a wake-up snuggle at around 6:30am-great during the week, not so cute on the weekend! She's made this "couple" into a little family.

New Owners: Lori & Mark

When we brought Narky home, he was pretty tuckered out. But Guinness had to play with him to welcome him! Since then, they've adjusted well to each other. Narky follows everything Guinness does. Unless they're playing chase outside - then Guinness can't keep up! He's decided to sleep on Guinness's bed instead of the one we got him, but it's okay because Guinness just sleeps on the new bed! We love having him as part of the family!

New Owners: Rob & Amanda

We were lucky enough to adopt Baron from NJBR about two years ago. She was 8 years old at the time and passed away in December. But, not before being showered with love and affection everyday of her life. She was such a wonderful dog that we completely adored. Baron was gentle, affectionate, funny and had those awesome boxer wiggles and gave great hugs. She added something to our lives that is hard to describe and she will always be with us. We are grateful to NJBR for bringing Baron to us and for their great advice and support In memory of Baron and our incredible experience in knowing her, we will always foster, adopt and contribute toward the care of senior boxers.

New Owners: Dina & Michael
